How Favorites works

Favorites is a paper-money sports pick'em. You make Higher/Lower picks on player props using virtual credits, follow the games live, and see your entries settle when the final stats are in. This guide walks through the whole experience, step by step.

1. Browsing sports and games

The Sports screen lists games by league — currently the NFL and the NBA — grouped into live games, upcoming games and recent results. Each game card shows the matchup, the start time or the live score, and opens into a game view with every player-prop market available for that game.

You can also use player search to jump straight to a specific player and see the markets available for them.

2. Understanding a player prop

A player prop is a question about one player's stat line in one game: how many passing yards will the quarterback throw for, how many points will a guard score, how many receptions will a tight end make. Each prop comes with a posted line — the number the question is built around.

Prop cards on Favorites also show context: the player's season average, recent form over their last few games, and how often they have gone over or under comparable lines. That context is there so a pick is an informed read, not a coin flip.

3. Higher vs Lower

Every pick on Favorites is one of two answers:

  • Higher — you think the player finishes above the line.
  • Lower — you think the player finishes below the line.

Illustrative example: a rushing-yards prop is posted at 55.5. Picking Higher means the player must finish with 56 or more rushing yards. Picking Lower means they must finish with 55 or fewer. Because lines end in .5, there is no exact tie on the posted number.

4. Posted lines

The posted line is the reference number for a market. It reflects the current market view of that player's likely stat line, and it can move before a game starts as new information arrives. When you place a pick, the line you picked is locked onto your entry — later movement does not change it.

5. Alternate lines and Virtual Odds

Around the posted line, Favorites may offer alternate lines — the same prop at different numbers. A rushing prop posted at 55.5 might also be available at 48.5 or 62.5. Picking Higher on a bigger number is harder, so it carries a larger virtual multiplier; picking Lower on that same bigger number is easier, so the multiplier is smaller.

These multipliers are Favorites gameplay multipliers for virtual credits. They are not sportsbook odds and they do not represent cash payouts. The Virtual Odds guide explains the concept in full.

6. Building an entry

As you make Higher/Lower picks, they collect on your pick slip. You can submit a single pick or combine several into one entry. Combining picks multiplies the potential return — but every pick in the entry has to be right for it to win.

You choose a stake in virtual credits (minimum 1 credit), and the slip shows the combined multiplier and the potential credit return before you confirm. The multiplier and payout are always calculated and locked by the server at the moment you submit.

7. Multipliers

A multiplier is how many times your stake is returned in virtual credits if the entry wins. Harder selections have larger multipliers; easier ones have smaller ones. A 2.0x multiplier on a 100-credit stake returns 200 credits on a win.

8. Using virtual credits

Credits are the only currency in Favorites. New accounts start with 10,000 credits. You can earn more through the daily bonus, the rescue refill when your balance runs low, and rewarded ads when available. Credits have no cash value, cannot be withdrawn and cannot be redeemed for prizes — the Credits & Rewards guide covers the economy in detail.

9. What happens during a live game

When a game goes live, its markets stay open while fresh prices are available, and your active entries show live progress — the player's current stat against the line you picked. Live information may update with a short delay.

If a live price stops updating, the market temporarily shows "Price updating…" and cannot be selected until a fresh price arrives. This protects you from picking on out-of-date numbers.

10. Settlement: win, loss, push, void

Once final stats are verified, each pick settles automatically:

  • Win — your read was right. The entry pays out its stake × multiplier in virtual credits.
  • Loss — the read was wrong. The stake is not returned.
  • Push — the result lands exactly on the line (possible on whole-number alternate lines). The stake is refunded.
  • Void — the market cannot be settled fairly, for example if a game is cancelled. The stake is refunded.

Most entries settle automatically. Where a stat needs manual verification, an entry can remain pending until the result is confirmed — it is never guessed.

11. No cash value, ever

Favorites is an entertainment product. There are no deposits, no withdrawals and no prizes. Virtual credits cannot be bought, sold, transferred for money or exchanged for anything of value. Your balance is a score that tracks how well you read the games.
